At TCI Works, summer isn’t just a season, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and dive even deeper into the work that drives our mission forward.

While many people associate summer with vacations and time off, our team is staying busy, continuing to create meaningful work opportunities for individuals with disabilities or disadvantages. Whether it's job training, work assessments, or connecting someone with their very first job placement, we’re on the ground every day making a difference.

Supporting People Through the Power of Work

TCI Works is dedicated to enhancing lives by providing opportunities for real, lasting employment. We do this by partnering with local businesses and industries to offer outsourcing services: everything from packaging and assembly to light manufacturing and more. The work we do not only benefits our business partners, but also empowers individuals to gain valuable skills, build confidence, and take steps toward independence.

Spotlight: Pre-ETS Students Learning, Growing, and Planning for the Future

One of the most inspiring parts of our summer has been watching our Pre-ETS (Pre-Employment Transition Services) students engage, learn, and grow as they explore what their futures can look like.

These students, who are still in high school, come to TCI Works to learn more about job opportunities in our area. Through workshops, guest speakers, and hands-on experiences, they’re introduced to a wide range of careers and skill-building activities that help prepare them for life after school.

They’re not just learning about jobs, they’re learning about themselves. With a strong focus on self-advocacy, communication, and independence, our Pre-ETS program empowers young people to take control of their journey and believe in their own potential.

Whether it's a guest speaker sharing how they built their career or a student realizing they enjoy working with their hands during a workshop, these are the kinds of “aha” moments we live for.
